D.A.N.A Seeks New Members, Docents, and Volunteers
Nipomo, California — June 19, 2006 — Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos (D.A.N.A.) announced today that it is launching phase 2 of its 2006 membership drive. The goal of the 2006 drive is to add 500 new members before the end of the year. D.A.N.A. is incorporating the recruitment of docents and volunteers into this second phase of the membership drive.
"We’re very gratified by the community response since we started the membership drive in late April,” said Barbara Barber, membership director at D.A.N.A. “Nearly 70 new people have joined and we’ve had a number of renewals as well. Through their support, we are continuing our efforts to restore the adobe, educate children through our Discover the Rancho program, conduct archaeological exploration, and put on great family events like Heritage Day."
D.A.N.A. also announced an incentive program for this second phase of the membership drive. On June 16, D.A.N.A. sent a letter to all members asking their help and detailing the incentives for recruiting new members, docents, and volunteers. New and sponsoring members as well as new docents and volunteers will be entered in a drawing for a gift
